Who Else Wants The Secret Formula For Creating Perfect Blog Posts and Titles?

blog-headlinesThere’s been plenty of chat recently on the Association of Pet Sitting Excellence Members Message Boards about blogging.

Some pet sitters are already doing it, some have WordPress up and running but have not yet started writing, and others are not quite sure how to get going.

Whether you realize it or not, blogging on a regular basis will do you so much good that it’s not even funny. Seriously.

By simply writing once a day or once a week, you will be enhancing your search engine credibility and will find new visitors to your site on a regular basis.

You will also show your potential clients that you are an expert at what you do. You are saying, “I know what I’m talking about, I am a professional, and you can trust me with your pet.”

Think you don’t have anything to write about?

Think again. Take some time out and listen to this amazing interview I held with the very person responsible for search engine optimization (SEO) of the MSN.com website. (Be careful though, it’s very inspiring stuff.)

OK, after you have WordPress up and running and you know what to write about, it’s time to consider the title of your post (easily one of the most important factors when it comes to readership and SEO, alike).

Why is the blog title so important?

For two reasons.

1: Your blog title holds plenty of weight in the eyes of Google. So get it right, and they’ll drive lots o’ traffic your way.

2: Your blog title is what appears as the big blue link in Google and it’s what the user scans to make a split second decision as to whether or not they want to click through and read more.

You want your title to be so catchy, so powerful and so enticing that the majority of users who only get a chance to read your title click through to your site.

The Top Four Places To Find Blog Title Ideas

I’m not going to reinvent the wheel. There have been plenty of articles written about blog titles that work.

Those links above should put you heading in the right direction. But to take your blog writing truly to the next level, I got my hands on a powerful report…

Authority Blogger Chris Garrett released a special report that contains 102 proven headline formulas.

  1. Since starting my blog a year ago I've been getting noticeably more traffic to my website. Although I love to write and do it as a free-lancer, keeping up with a blog is a big commitment. Coming up with useful content every week can be a challenge, just as making time to research and write up the article is. And creating good titles is definitely important. These are things I didn't consider before I started my blog. I'd love to have the article on 102 blog headline titles to make that part of blogging easier. Thanks, Josh.

  2. I had trouble coming up with content too, but one of my IC's is an aspiring blogger so I hired her to write a 250 word blog post each Sunday. This way, I consistently get at least 1 article in a week, and can add to it as I'm inspired. I've also found the “schedule post” option very helpful – I can write up a bunch of posts and have them automatically posted on a specified time and date by wordpress. I don't even have to think about it.

I'd love to have a copy of your 102 Headline formulas! 🙂

  3. Sounds good Jackie and Vicki,

I have emailed you a copy of the PDF file. I hope you find it helpful…

  7. Thanks for sharing a great resource with us really helpful as the google algorithms are effecting the site title along with the content is to be perfect to got survive by panda and penguin

  8. May I have a copy please? I was all ready to start a pet sitting business but I think I will get your Pet Sitting in 45 Days first as well before I launch. You have so much helpful info I don’t want to go further before reading everything you have to say.

    1. Hi Pamela, thanks for stopping by. I have emailed you a copy of the PDF! And I think you would benefit from signing up for the 45 day program now while you are learning and reading all this. Each piece will compliment each other and you can progress in building your business AS you are reading and learning!

  9. Hi Joshua… I would love to have the PDF as a starting source. Looking at both your new webiste plan as well as the 45 Day program to start this business. Let’s get started! lol

    1. Hi Gayle, Check your email – just sent you the requested doc! And yes, let’s get you going with the website and program. What else can I answer for you?

      1. Hi back… my question is what step should I take first..get the website up and running from you…which obviously begins the business end of getting things rolling….or the 45 Day program? The latter gives me the tools to effectively do it right! At this moment, can’t do both.
Have tried WordPress alone..ugh! Am pretty familiar with SEO tools but trapped in the start-off *concrete wall*.. such as Business name and the all important LOGO..which I believe I would implement with T-shirts, cards, fliers and advertising on the outside.
Any..’before’ attempts at web work..like tutorials, free online training and even paid online start-up training..always seem to leave out the most important take off information. Getting the Header ( if I’m using the correct term)..the eye catching top part of the website…that offers the first time visitor a look at what you are about…better yet…how professional your website looks.
If you offer that in your website package..or offer any links to your work that get’s really in-depth with that..please, please link-me-in. [grin]
Thanks in advance for getting back to me so quickly. As I am obviously still on your site!
        Gayle

        1. Hey Gayle, Your passion and desire to succeed is awesome to see! In your case, I would begin with the 45-day program. That will lay the ground work for you and get you underway. From there, at the right time, you can sign up for the website shortly down the road (after you begin laying the other ground work!). Begin at https://petsittingology.com/products/45-days/ – Thanks!

  10. Hi Josh! I am just getting started with blogging and I am very interested in the PDF Report 102 Proven Headline Formulas. Thank You!

  11. Blogging, ugh. I know I should be doing more of it, but time is always a factor. Also, I have a question on WordPress blogs, if you could help me out, I’d appreciate it. I often used to get spammers leaving comments on my blog posts. So I changed a setting (can’t remember now what it was, it was years ago), and now I get an email notification that says something like” WordPress new user registration”. But no comments ever appear, so basically, I’m getting no interaction on my blogs. Here’s my site, so you can see what I mean, hopefully: https://clawsandpaws.wordpress.com

    1. Hi Gina, I hear ya. Finding time is often a roadblock for many of us. Regarding the spam comments, I would need access to your Dashboard to see exactly what’s happening. Separately, I would move from a WordPress.com powered blog (which is on their server) to a self-hosted WordPress blog on a domain you own (like our server). That way, you get all the SEO “credit” for the content you are creating on your own website.

You can easily move the current blog posts you have to a self-hosted install. Hope that helps.
