Hey Neil,

Thanks for your comment. There is a big ongoing debate between pet sitters whether or not "advertising" that an owner is not home really increases the chance of burglary.

Law enforcement has suggested that it may actually deter since a person is visiting the home on a daily basis. IE. Car in the driveway, lights turned on and off, mail and newspapers brought in, drapes and curtains opened and closed.

To me, for the argument to work, a potential burglar would have to actually see you getting out of your car, then be in a position to read what your shirt says.

I know City life is different... (closer proximity) In either case, the article makes no mention of wearing a pet business branded shirt TO the visit. In fact, wearing the shirt while running errands and going about your day while not on visits will have a bigger impact.

i have to unfortunately disagree with this idea for safety reasons. we are many times hired to watch a client's home as well as their pets while they are away on vacation. what better way to advertise that someone is away by having someone wearing a pet sitting tshirt with keys to their house. we work in the city, and this is a HUGE no-no.
